A Visit to the Notforgotten Farm....................

I was lucky enough to attend an open house at the amazing studio of Lori Brechlin of Notforgotten Farm. She is an amazing designer and artist that creates rug hooking designs, stitching designs and one-of-a-kind primitive folk art. I had to make sure my jaw stayed shut as I oooowed and awwwwed over this amazing wall full of her design samples!!!! Argh!!!! To die for! Please visit her shop at: http://farmhousenotforgotten.blogspot.com/  She is such an amazing and sweet woman!!

I fell in Love with her fuzzy welcoming crew! Pinocchio (the chocolate colored one) stole my heart for sure.

 Her shop/studio was pure magic!
Her shop porch was so prim and perfect!
I stepped inside and gasped! It was so welcoming, and full of amazing works and discoveries!

The Christmas tree was magical and she had these adorable mohair teddy bear heads - I wanted them all but had to be on my best behavior with my holiday budget but there was no way I could leave without the painting done by Lori below! I am a redhead and you don't see much primitive artwork representing red hair sooo - I HAD to have it! So yes, I say it is a portrait of me with my evil twin. (I don't really have a twin or a sister -tee hee) Oh- yes, I know - she paints too!!!!!! Lori Brechlin is amazing - rug hookin, stitching, dolls, folk art, painting - Yep - she does it all !!!!!
So go check out her amazing world at: http://farmhousenotforgotten.blogspot.com/ and her etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/notforgottenfarm

A Tribute as Fall Fades.......

My gorgeous sunflowers have all withered and died and my chickens are putting on their extra fluff. Egg production has slowed as we enter the shorter days. Sigh....... goodbye beloved Fall. Oh, Queen Winter , I feel your wicked frozen touch as you journey this way. Please be kind this season.

November has arrived..............

It is a busy month ahead - the Fiber Arts Show/Exhibit at the Barns of Rosehill in Berryville, VA and The Merry Makers Folk Art Show in Springfield, OH. I just pray for continued and quick recovery from the pneumonia that is currently crippling my lungs and energy. Alas, a nap is ahead. Fall Blessings to all!
