Claire Perry Art - Awesome "Upcycled" Folk Art

I want to introduce a wonderful fun folk artist to you all! Claire Perry Art - she makes the coolest folk art fish from found and recycled materials from the coastline of Maine. She is a true "Upcycle Artist". I have three of her fish above a doorway in my kitchen. They always make me smile. They are a great conversation pieces, family and guest love them. They are infectious with humor and wit. I have been blessed to befriend Claire and find her to be just as much fun as her fish! An Incredible and Magical Tale

Just finished an incredible book. The 13th Tale by Diane Setterfield is a wonderful Goth-like mystery. I was so moved and enchanted by the story. The characters and scenery is so inspiring for my work. I love to be transported by magical literature.

To blogging I will go, to blogging I will go........ OK, yes I have been smelling to much paint fumes! What a busy time of year! To much to do and not enough time! I have been slow in the studio these past few weeks. I took a wonderful getaway weekend to NYC with my sister-in-law. It was awesome. No kids, no hubby - just gal pal time and fun!!! We are off to South Carolina for Thanksgiving next week and Boom! it's December. Lots of house projects under foot still, but the major roof project has been completed. Wow! Yes completed. Something in this house with closure - amazing! Well, Happy Turkey Day to all!
Cheers!

For my little Princess

Had to set my regular projects and orders aside to make time for my daughter's Halloween costume. She has been insistent on a pretty pink princess dress! Yikes, hot pink slipper satin, sequins, and girly stuff! Ahhhh. Not my usual dark palette. What can I say, anything for my little 3 year old princess.

Getting Ready to Launch

I have been busy, busy, busy with kids, garden and our old house problems - er, I mean projects. None-the-less, I will be launching an update to my website with Halloween critters in the next week. I'm crossing my fingers that all goes well. I have been having problems with my computer lately. I think my husband is tired of being my "Tech Support". Tee Hee. Be sure to bookmark my site and check back soon: http://www.tatteredmoon.com/ or email me to sign up for my mailing list. Enjoy the sneak peek photo. OH! We took a family vacation to Ohio and attended the Country Living Show! WoW! Great weather, well attended and the Earth Angels Booth knocked my socks off! Amazing and talented ladies! The Columbus Zoo was awesome too. We really enjoyed it. My daughter loved the boat ride and wants to raise Flamingos. She is 3 years old and everything in her world is about PINK!
